Health Care Assistant

We are a large friendly rural teaching practice based in Powys on the Shropshire Borders. We have a large multi-skilled primary care and community team with an open approach to developing all our staff in a supportive environment. The safe care of our patients remains our priority while ensuring a good working life for our staff.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Health Care Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly, supportive, forward thinking multidisciplinary team.

 

Your role as a HCA is to support the practice nursing team in the delivery of nursing services, working as part of the practice multidisciplinary team, delivering care within their scope of practice to our patients. You will deliver and assist the clinical team in the provision of treatment, preventative care, health promotion and patient education.  

You will be responsible for managing busy patient lists, whilst supporting our GP’s on a daily basis, with phlebotomy services, performing ECG's, simple dressing changes, and assisting with minor ops.

 

The position is 30 hours per week, with rota'd hours between 8:00am to 6:30pm Monday to Friday.

Patient Services Assistant - Receptionist/dispenser

Our Patient Services team are central to the coordination of day to day services provided to our patients, as we are looking for new team members who are passionate about customer service, have excellent communication skills, are flexible and adaptable, and have a great sense of humour.

You will enjoy working with the public and have good computer and adminstration skills.

Experience of working in the NHS is not essential, as training will be available for the successful candidate.
